So my revised plan is now to float a sheet of 1 rigid expanded polystyrene foam eps on the delta fl to add an r value of 3 75 and then install the finished laminate flooring directly over top of the foam.
I was going to just roll out a layer of that approved thin laminate underlayment foam and then float the laminate over top of that but that will not provide the insulating value i desire.
Floor is flat no moisture issues walls are done with 3 foam.
You could also take down the garage cieling and put batt insulation between the joists then rigid foam under the joists then strapping and drywall.
