There is a chance if the colonist is tired they may go to sleep on the floor if it is not their room with a bed in it so you may want to make sure you are using a colonist with a decently full rest meter. All i can find are the expand roof expand no roof tools under zone areas. Rest meter located in the needs tab of that colonist 1.
